Almost 50 years of Lacom

Lacom was founded in 1974 by Gerbrand Luttik and Joost de Lange as a pioneer of direct cash & carry African art and jewelry sales at the Dutch trademarkets. In 1995 the business was taken over by Chris van Son, who broadened the range to include handmade silver and gemstones from India and Asia.

Almost fifty years later, you can still find us at the trademarkets in Amsterdam and Brussels. Our customers — owners of independent jewelry stores and webshops — often visit our showroom in person. That's how we get to know each other and how we help shape your collection.

We believe in handcrafted products from India over soulless container goods from China. Each piece is made by artisans, and no two are exactly alike. That's precisely why your customers come back to your shop.
